NCQA Accreditation
WebMD recently received certification in five areas of National Committee for Quality Assurance's (NCQA) Health Information Products (HIP) Certification program. WebMD Health Services' products will qualify as compliant with key standards for NCQA Health Plan Accreditation and Quality Plus Distinction.
Health plans utilizing WebMD's health and benefits programs will be compliant in areas such as health risk appraisals, interactive consumer health tools, and quality and service tools for physicians and hospitals.

For the NCQA standard elements associated with these areas, WebMD's health plan clients may receive automatic credit towards these elements within the Health Plan Accreditation or Quality Plus Distinction program. This reduces inefficient gathering of information by health plans.
